This campaign has turned into an adventure I’d never imagined possible. At age 18, I got together with friends and family and decided I’d undertake the journey of running for State Representative. To every single person in Ohio who knocked on doors, made calls, hosted your neighbors, and to all across the nation who have followed along and donated to me – thank you.

My favorite memories are scattered far and wide across the expanse of the campaign, and I’m thankful I got to meet so many wonderful people.

Finally, to the 11,959 of you in District 47 who turned out to vote on election day, thank you for entrusting me with your vote.

I ran this race because I was dedicated to delivering results. Ultimately we came up short, and although I can't deliver those results for my community, I’m remarkably proud of the idea and the message behind our campaign that we spread far and wide over the past 11 months.

During the campaign, we stressed the importance of doing what is right, no matter how crazy the circumstance or how tough the odds. That’s a mentality that each of us should take into our lives moving forward.

It’s been the honor of my lifetime to be your candidate. I’ll be back in due time.
