Let's Make Healthcare Affordable

As a basic right, every Ohioan ought to have access to affordable healthcare. There should be no question of whether or not a 911 call would be too expensive or if one should pass up an essential surgery to save funds.

We support a glide path towards a single payer system, where Ohioans can keep their private insurance if they choose but everyone will have access to the healthcare that they need. We also support the public health system, and any measures needed to protect Ohioans, especially the vulnerable, in a crisis.

What’s the Plan?

COVID-19 is a prominent issue we are all familiar with. A global pandemic has been sweeping our planet for almost two years. Our healthcare personnel have worked tirelessly for far too long - we must take the necessary precautions to slow the spread of the Coronavirus. Everyone must do their part - wear your mask, wash your hands, and get vaccinated. We cannot let our guard down because we are tired, and we cannot leave immunocompromised and young children behind. We must work together and adjust to the time of crisis.

As a country, the United States has drifted away from the bounds of science - disinformation is spread throughout our media now more than ever. I promise to listen to medical professionals and work with local, state, and federal government so that we can navigate this pandemic and ensure equal access to healthcare for all.
